Wood Rodgers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will work with and manage our existing payroll and accounts payable staff to perform a variety of duties, including the accurate processing of payroll, health benefits, timesheet review, GL coding, journal entries, budgeting, monthly close, 3^rd party audits, reviews, and internal controls. We have over 300 employees in 9 offices throughout California and Nevada.

A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers’ Assistant Controller:While there is no typical day in accounting, there are a few things that you can count on:

• Review, manage, and assist payroll and accounts payable specialists.
• Fixed asset reporting and depreciation
• Coordinate month-end close and 3^rd party audits/reviews.
• Assist with other accounting activities.

The ante:

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience handling essential accounting functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices
• Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheets (VLOOKUP and SUMIF Functions).
