Job Details

The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for preparing United States and international (Mexico, Brazil, Netherlands and Ireland) payroll and assisting with accounts payable tasks.

This role manages time sensitive payroll processing deadlines on a biweekly basis in the United States and semi-monthly and monthly payroll for our international operations, as well as supporting accounts payable to process invoices, reconciling vendor accounts and making payments.

Essential Job Duties

• maintain a thorough knowledge of company policies and practices related to payroll, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, purchasing and others to ensure consistent application and compliance.
• maintain an understanding of payroll and ERP systems as needed to perform tasks.
• prepare and process payroll (US and international) in an accurate, timely and compliant manner.
• maintain a thorough understanding of labor laws as needed to assure compliance with payroll requirements.
• reconcile periodic payroll tax filings.
• with the accounts payable tasks including processing of vendor invoices and payment requests, employee expense reimbursements, corporate credit card transactions, and entering related information in the ERP system.
• vendor statements to processed invoices and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• maintaining vendor information in the ERP system.
• communicate effectively with employees and external contacts as needed.
• recommendations for workflow and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications

• AA, or AS degree in accounting
• years of payroll processing experience (experience with ADP a big plus!)
