As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable functions for our subcontracting business.
Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments to vendors and subcontractors
• Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor accounts receivable aging report and follow up with clients to collect outstanding payments
• Prepare and send invoices to clients in accordance with contract terms and project milestones
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable transactions in the accounting system
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Generate financial reports and provide analysis of accounts payable and receivable data as needed
• Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to accounts payable and receivable processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required - experience is great!
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounts payable and receivable roles, preferably in the construction industry or related field
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction contracts, lien waivers, and other related documents is a plus
