We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Accountant to join our thriving manufacturing team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional with a strong background in accounting to be a part of a leading company in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing all aspects of our financial procedures, from accounts payable and receivable to managing taxes and sales tax. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for numbers.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Prepare, record, analyze, and report on financial transactions of the business.
3. Manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, and billing.
4. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
5. Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Manage the sales tax function and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
7. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
8. Implement and adhere to company financial standards.
9. Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
10. Collaborate with the finance team on forecasting efforts and budget variance analysis.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations, and ensure the company's financial policies follow suit.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management software.
4. Solid understanding of financial processes and procedures.
5. Proven experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, tax preparation, payroll, and sales tax in the manufacturing industry.
6. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
