About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-driven individual contributor to join our team as a Senior, Product & Engineering Operations reporting to the Senior Manager, Product & Engineering Operations.

You will be instrumental in establishing efficient systems and processes to foster high performing teams within the Product & Engineering organization. Collaborating extensively with colleagues across departments, your primary objective will be to identify areas of improvement within the organization and implement solutions to streamline operations. Partnering with the Product and Engineering Leaders and cross-functional partners in the People Team, you will optimize and expedite recruiting and onboarding processes, lead initiatives for growth and learning, and enhance overall culture across Product & Engineering.

  • Manage Existing Processes
  • Maintain existing Operations processes, continually assessing and refining them to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Understand the current state of processes, documenting workflows, and gathering data on performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates, status reports, and progress summaries, keeping stakeholders informed of key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate Knowledge Management
  • Document standardized procedures, workflows, and guidelines, keeping documentation up-to-date and organized for easy reference.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations to ensure that process knowledge is captured and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Build and Optimize Processes
  • Proactively analyze existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize and implement effective solutions based on analysis, feedback, and lessons learned.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance team productivity, quality, and innovation through process improvements and tool enhancements.
  • Provide training and education on new processes to ensure understanding and adoption.
  • Nurture Team Culture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cultural enhancements that foster team cohesion and job satisfaction.
  • Organize team-building activities to promote collaboration and strengthen relationships across the organization
  • Support professional growth and development opportunities for team members, partnering with the Learning & Development team to create opportunities for learning and skill-building.
  • Build and Monitor Performance
  • Collaborate with analysts to develop reporting dashboards and metrics for tracking key performance indicators.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and insights to leadership and key stakeholders to support decision making and strategy development.

About You

  • You have 5 years of relevant work experience in Operations or a related area.
  • You are familiar with effective onboarding and recruiting strategies, with a proven track record of implementing process improvements.
  • Experience creating assessments and surveys to evaluate effectiveness and gather feedback.
  • You have the ability to handle a number of simultaneous projects while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive an overall program to completion.
  • You possess an analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making, deliver improvements, and measure the success of initiatives.

  • You possess a high level of confidence and proficiency in delivering presentations, demonstrating the ability to effectively engage and communicate with individuals at every organizational tier.

About the Team

The Operations team is the heartbeat of the Product & Engineering (P&E) organization. As a newly formed team of six, we work together to ensure our department of over 400 individuals is able to operate efficiently and effectively. We partner closely with P&E Leadership to ensure we are supporting the needs of their teams, in addition to the greater P&E organization.
