We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Parts Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment in the heavy-duty truck industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our Parts Department, ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the department.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and will play a crucial role in the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, ensuring all functions are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the profitability of the Parts Department.
  • Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory system, ensuring that all parts are accurately accounted for and readily available when needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing to ensure the best possible cost for parts.
  • Work closely with the Truck Service Department to ensure that parts are available as needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Train and supervise parts staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about our products and able to provide excellent customer service.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and performance data to identify trends and make informed business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant industry regulations and standards.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Parts Manager in the heavy-duty truck industry is required.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a Parts Department.
  • Strong knowledge of truck parts and services.
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in the use of parts inventory management systems.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy parts as needed.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
