Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving operations in our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse
- Manage a team of shipping associates, providing guidance and support
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders for shipment
- Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of products
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce errors
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products
- Utilize warehouse management system to track shipments, generate reports, and monitor performance metrics
- Train new employees on shipping procedures and safety protocols
- Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and productivity

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role in a distribution center setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving processes, inventory control, and logistics
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage shipments
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving goals
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and external stakeholders
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.15 - $27.87 per hour
