JMC Tool & Machine Co. is a growing leader in providing precision machined components and assemblies to a wide variety of industries including aerospace, medical, and industrial. The Inspector is responsible for inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet JMC and the customers quality requirements.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards
• Inspection of internally manufactured parts and final assemblies throughout all stages of production
• Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
• Responsible for inspection of product in accordance with drawings, work instructions, quality acceptance procedures, and retention of acceptance documentation/ records.
• Inspect parts using a variety of techniques, e.g., visual inspection, conventional metrology (height gages, gage pins, thread gages, and dial indicators), calipers, micrometers, functional gages, and CMMs.
• Performs related work as assigned

Skills

• 2-5 years of quality control experience in a machining environment
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 quality systems
• Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, engineering documents
• Exceptional organizational, time management, attention to detail, multi-tasking skills
• Proficiency in CMM programming and operations preferred
