JLL is Hiring a Sr. Controls Engineer Near Pontiac, MI
Education/Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
8 plus years of controls engineering experience in automotive manufacturing, or industrial experience recommended.
Must have strong written and verbal communication, detail oriented and must have extensive knowledge on Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
As a Controls Engineer, you will work with JLL technicians to trouble shoot issues dealing with the process equipment on site. This role will enable you to expand your controls experience while integrating some of the most state-of-the-art process equipment available.
Some of the job tasks you will do:
Implement and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment. Troubleshoot ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment. Perform machine power up, debug and programming. Ensure equipment is maintained to its original design and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach.

What You'll Bring to JLL:
Experience with any the following:
PLC's - Allen Bradley Micro Logix, Compact Logix, and Control Logix.
Controllers - Metasys FECs.
Proficiency in industrial networking protocols - Profibus, Profinet, TCP/IP and Ethernet IP
Allen Bradley VFDs.
HMI's (Various Brands)
CAD (i.e., AutoCAD Electrical).
Ability to understand electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.
