About Project and Development Services (PDS):
JLL PDS, or Project and Development Services, is a specialized division within JLL that focuses on delivering comprehensive project management and development services to clients across various industries. PDS provides end-to-end solutions for new construction, renovation, relocation, and fit-out projects, helping clients optimize their real estate assets and achieve their business goals. With a team of experienced professionals, PDS offers expertise in project planning, design and construction management, cost control, and risk mitigation, ensuring successful project delivery within budget and timeline parameters. JLL PDS leverages its global network and best practices to seamlessly manage projects of all sizes and complexities, from small-scale office refurbishments to large-scale industrial developments and infrastructure projects.
What the job involves:
We are currently seeking an Intern in Project and Development Services. The PDS internship will involve supporting a project management team to deliver challenging project(s), collaborating to administer, manage/update, and/or prepare deliverables such as presentations, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, and other deliverables. Through the internship, you will gain invaluable exposure to design and construction management, vendor management, financial tracking and reconciliation, and overall project management.
As an Intern in PDS at JLL, you will:
Work closely with the project management team to create presentations, update budgets/financial documents and databases, and provide other project deliverables.
Support vendor management, RFP development, scope development, and finance reconciliation.
Perform project coordinator tasks such as data entry, document control, invoice tracking, meeting coordination, tracking action items, project contract administration, and working within the Project Management Platform, AdaptiveWork.
Collaborate with the Project Management and Operations teams to update and clean up data, as well as analyze data for accuracy.
Take meeting notes, track project schedules, and complete site visit summaries.
Support project management team at construction site locations and JLL's Portland office
Construction site working environment requires:
Wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.
Safety training and compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
Sitting, standing, or walking short distances for extended periods of time during the workday.
Program Details
Dates: June 3rd, 2024 - August 9th, 2024
Location: Vancouver, WA (Onsite). There may be travel to Portland, OR involved in this internship.
Education, Skills, and Experience
Pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed, in Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Independent thinking and work abilities
Ability to collaborate with multiple individuals and meet deadlines
Interest in commercial real estate industry
Proactive and self-motivated mindset
Thrives in fast-paced team environment, gaining broad experience in commercial real estate
Knowledge of PC, Windows, Internet applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Highly energetic and able to work independently
Excellent customer service, relationship-building, and presentation skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and creative
General business experience
Ability to read construction plans a plus
We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.
Permanent US work authorization required.
