Jills House Memory Care is Hiring a Certified Dietary Manager Near Bloomington, IN

**Weekly Pay**

Health, vision, dental insurance provided.

Purpose of the Position: This position is vital to the nutritional well-being of residents of the Memory Care and Children of the Preschool. Ensuring the proper foods and snacks for a large of number of people each day, which includes ordering within a set budget, ensuring all staff know any allergies or concerns, and maintaining all needs for facility kitchen.

Primary Responsibilities

Food Management

1) Order food supplies weekly from vendors (Sam’s Club, Kroger, Gordon Food Services)

2) Organize delivered food in storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner

3) Manage food supply budget, GL Codes (Receipts), & communicate with House Investments

4) Create and update monthly meal log

a. Log monthly meal/snack metrics

b. Log monthly meal/snacks consumer metrics

5) Enforce proper food preparation and sanitation techniques

Menu Developer

1) Create and update food menus for JH resident’s and Pre-School Children

2) Accommodate for resident/pre-school dietary needs

3) Creates food recipes based upon menu needs and specific dietary needs

4) Coordinates with Nutritionist to ensure Federal & State law dietary requirements are met

5) Maintains JHIP C.A.C.F.P. nutrition standards

Administrative Functions

1) Create and update schedules for kitchen staff

2) Manages performance evaluations for kitchen staff

3) Conducts new kitchen staff interviews and training and execute 90 day follow up training/job observation

4) Takes facility phone calls, as available

5) Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies

6) Post and monitor a dietary cleaning schedule

7) Monitor kitchen equipment for working condition

8) Attend all staff meetings

Qualifications

1) 2-5 years of supervisory experience within a kitchen/dinning environment

2) Strong written and verbal communication within a team development

3) Current negative Mantoux or CXR at employment (done yearly thereafter)

4) Be enrolled in or have completed the Dietary Managers Program

Special Equipment

1) Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

2) Willingness to be trained on special equipment(s) used to perform job functions

3) Must complete within first 90 days: SafeServ training and obtain Liquor License

4) Must be able to operate and understand all functions of Jill’s House kitchen equipment: Ovens, induction stove, mixers, slicers, steamers, sharpeners, dishwasher, fryer, microwave, etc.

Physical Requirements

1) Ability to stand and move quickly for multiple hours

2) Ability to sit and perform administrative work for more than 3 hours

3) Ability to carry 25 pounds

4) Ability to use stairs and elevators to distribute food safely

5) Work in a hot environment

6) Aware of working around water and slick surfaces

Environmental Conditions

1) Exposure to injuries from slips, cuts, and burns

2) Is subject to frequent interruptions

3) Fast Paced environment that increases during meal times

4) Work around high heat from burners, oven, and other machinery

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,500.00 per year
