POSITION OVERVIEW

JGM is looking for an accountable Project Engineer to assist our Project Managers and Superintendents to deliver high quality projects safely and effectively to our industrial clients. You will schedule, plan, forecast, and manage activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from initiation to close out. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and develop layout, surveying, and scanning services using of a total station and other future equipment acquisitions. 
• Administrative and document control duties on assigned projects including but not limited to, RFIs, Submittals, Drawings, Specifications, Change Requests, Inspections, and Meetings. 
• Communicate and coordinate with all internal and external project stakeholders including but not limited to, owners, customers, vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and superintendents as needed. 
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes, standard practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, production) and report regularly on project status.
• Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
• Manage the activities of third-party contractors and vendors. 
• Travel to project sites as needed.

EXPERIENCE

• Proven work experience as a Project Engineer. 
• Excellent knowledge of technology to create efficiencies such as Procore, Tekla EPM, Total Station. 
• Advanced MS Office skills. 
• Familiarity with the rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards in the construction field.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects. 
• Project management and supervision skills.
• Beginning leadership skills. 
• Time management and organization skills.

EDUCATION 

• Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field.

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL DEL PUESTO

JGM está buscando un ingeniero de proyectos responsable para ayudar a nuestros gerentes de proyectos y superintendentes a entregar proyectos de alta calidad de manera segura y efectiva a nuestros clientes industriales. Programará, planificará, pronosticará y administrará actividades destinadas a garantizar la precisión y calidad del proyecto desde el inicio hasta el cierre.

RESPONSABILIDADES

• Poseer y desarrollar servicios de diseño, topografía y escaneo utilizando una estación total y otras adquisiciones futuras de equipos.
• Tareas administrativas y de control de documentos en proyectos asignados, incluidos, entre otros, RFI, presentaciones, dibujos, especificaciones, solicitudes de cambio, inspecciones y reuniones.
• Comunicarse y coordinar con todas las partes interesadas internas y externas del proyecto, incluidos, entre otros, propietarios, clientes, proveedores, subcontratistas, gerentes de proyectos y superintendentes, según sea necesario.
• Supervise el cumplimiento de los códigos aplicables, las prácticas estándar, las políticas de control de calidad / control de calidad, los estándares de rendimiento y las especificaciones.
• Realizar un control de calidad general del trabajo (presupuesto, cronograma, planes, producción) e informar regularmente sobre el estado del proyecto.
• Asignar responsabilidades y asesorar al equipo del proyecto.
• Gestionar las actividades de terceros contratistas y proveedores.
• Viaje a los sitios del proyecto según sea necesario.

EXPERIENCIA

• Experiencia laboral demostrable como Ingeniero de Proyectos.
• Excelente conocimiento de la tecnología para crear eficiencias como Procore, Tekla EPM, Total Station.
• Habilidades avanzadas de MS Office.
• Familiaridad con las reglas, regulaciones, mejores prácticas y estándares de desempeño en el campo de la construcción.
• Capacidad para trabajar con múltiples proyectos de disciplina.
• Habilidades de gestión y supervisión de proyectos.
• Habilidades de liderazgo iniciales.
• Habilidades de gestión del tiempo y organización.

EDUCACIÓN

• Licenciatura en uno de los siguientes: Ingeniería, Gestión de la Construcción o campo relevante.
