Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is Hiring a Toddler Movement Dance Instructor Near San Francisco, CA

The toddler movement dance instructor teaches dance classes for children on-site at the JCCSF Dance School. In addition, the instructor assists with the annual dance recital and helps create and maintain a clean and safe environment for dance participants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach children ages 18 months – 2.5yrs.
Create curriculum for all classes.
Assist in promoting programs and outreach to schools and community groups.
Work collaboratively with other dance instructors.
Additional duties as required for the dance program.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience teaching dance/movement for young children.
Provide a sample lesson plan for a 50-minute toddler dance class.
Additional hours as a substitute instructor for toddler movement classes may be available during the week.
Must be reliable, warm and welcoming, and have good communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is conducted on-site in the dance studios of a large community center. Work involves close contact with children and their families.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to demonstrate and teach a variety of dance movements. Occasional lifting/carrying of weights up to 20 lbs.

STATUS

Non-benefited, non-exempt position

HOURS/SCHEDULE

As scheduled. Mondays, Wednesdays 10am-10:50am.

Additional substitute hours available as needed.
