Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Needham, MA

Office Administrator Position - Full Time

The Jewish Cemetery Association of Massachusetts is a growing non-profit, located in Needham, Massachusetts and is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of historic properties, cemetery maintenance, burial services and community education. With 120 cemetery properties under its ownership, JCAM is recognized both nationally and locally for its industry leadership and high standard of service in the community.

JCAM is seeking an experienced, multi-talented individual to fill the position of Office Administrator. This position requires knowledge and experience in general office administration as well as the ability to handle the varied supervisory functions of our cemeteries.

The position requires a results-driven individual who can meet deadlines and work efficiently in multiple processes, maintaining a professional demeanor and composure in all situations. The successful candidate will need to be highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Due to the nature of this nuanced business, a demeanor of confidence, flexibility and caring is needed when dealing with the general public, cemetery caretakers, contractors, funeral directors and grieving families. This position will report to the Executive Director.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Ability to manage and handle the general public in a professional manner

· Works with funeral directors and shares incoming burial intakes when needed

· Assists in preparing yearly vendor/contractor agreements

· Performs or facilitates maintenance of office equipment when needed

· Oversees day-to-day operations with vendors/contractors

· Ability to handle and follow through to completion outside family concerns/requests

· Knowledge of various departmental operations

· Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director

· Ability to interface with cemetery caretakers/workers, funeral directors, contractors, vendors and office staff

· Must have own vehicle

Required Skills/Abilities

· Extensive knowledge of office management/administrative procedures

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, related software, Constant Contact, Excel

Education and Experience

· Associates degree or higher in business, administration and/or related field preferred

· At least 5 years of administrative experience preferred
