Jevan Residential seeks maintenance technicians for its central Phoenix communities. The Maintenance Technician maintains the excellent condition and functionality of Jevan Residential apartment communities to provide an exceptional resident experience. The Maintenance Technician conducts quality assessments, schedules and performs repairs, maintains inventory, and implements preventive maintenance processes to ensure the buildings, grounds, and common areas of our apartment communities are safe, operational, and clean. The Maintenance Technician we seek has a positive attitude, a keen eye for detail and a willingness to be a team player.

• Prepares apartments for rental, which may include performing general repairs, painting, cleaning, and maintenance tasks
• Assists in the preparation of apartments for occupancy
• Responds to residents’ service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Maintains pools, community amenities, and HVAC systems, as applicable
• Communicates any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Property Manager.
• Provides friendly customer service
• Participates in an on-call rotation
• Follows state, local, and federal fair housing laws
• Performs work in a neat, clean, efficient and safe manner following all safety rules, policies, procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Maintains and safeguards all company tools and equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

• Ability to work evenings or weekends (on call) in the case of an emergency.
• Ability to carry, climb and descend stairs and step-ladders, and work at elevated heights in accordance with safety guidelines, rules and regulations
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• HVAC, EPA and CPO certifications preferred.
• General maintenance knowledge in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall and appliance repair.

This position requires reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, and using repetitive motions. This position requires the ability to receive information through oral communication both in person and on the telephone and the ability to communicate information through speaking. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 50 pounds of materials.
