The Thrift Store Production Manager works under the direct supervision of the Thrift Store Manager. This individual must be a born-again Christian of proven testimony and evidence of spiritual growth including: leadership, discipleship, maturity and discernment, patience, objectivity, and stewardship effectiveness. This person must be able to share his or her testimony with program residents. Excellent customer service being critical, this person will assist customers by phone or in person while overseeing other production staff in their duties. This individual will be able to understand revenue and expenditure reports being generated at the store and demonstrate the ability to meet financial and other management goals on a consistent basis adhering to outlined policies and procedures associated with this job. Will demonstrate the ability to oversee the productions and pricing of merchandise, while managing inventory for maximum return on product.

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of 2 years college or 2 years retail management experience or a graduate of JARS Program.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to manage in-coming and out-going merchandise, while supervising staff for maximum productivity.
Ability to maximize production while maintaining a clean production area.
Excellent interpersonal, creative problem solving, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read and follow maps.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervisory responsibilities include the supervision of staff (this includes volunteers), clients, and community service workers in accordance with Jericho’s policies and procedures, while maintaining appropriate boundaries. This may include training, planning, assigning and appraising performance in collaboration with the Thrift Store Manager. As a supervisor, employee will also be required to form effective working relationships with other supervisors, subordinates, ministry staff and the public. Supervisors will be expected to demonstrate aptitude for both personal and professional development as related to future goals and needs of the Jericho Thrift Store and its contribution to the overall ministry of Jericho Road Ministries, Inc.
Physical Demands:
This is a very physical role and requires the employee to regularly lift and maneuver, stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, reach with hands and arms, and to speak and listen. This position may also require that the employee climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle; a valid Florida driver license is a necessity.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Administer and adhere to policy manuals, memos and procedures related to this job and remain updated on amendments and changes or memos related to policy, maintaining correct procedures in your work
Assist managers at all JRM Thrift Store locations as needed
Assists in off-loading merchandise brought in by driver
Receives all donations dropped off or delivered by Donation Truck
Determines salability of all merchandise donated
Sorts merchandise to proper work area
Sorts unsalable merchandise to trash or recycling areas
Maintains organized, uncluttered work areas inside & outside the Production Room
All donations should be processed onto the sales floor on the day they are received
Oversee Recycling Storage
Monitor Recycled clothing trailer
Locks and unlocks trailer daily
Oversees pick-up of recycled merchandise by vendor
Oversee Refuse Areas
Ensures trash and cardboard goes to appropriate dumpster
Calls Thrift Store Director to schedule extra trash pick-ups if needed
Schedules bi-monthly trips to landfill for garbage furniture
Calls Dispatcher for metal pick-up for recycle
Account for all merchandise dropped-off
Ensure meeting targets for number of bins produced daily and weekly following the 5 P’s of Production
Account for all merchandise produced during the day
Storage Trailer neatly maintained with furniture or other large merchandise items, donation drop-offs, and recycle.
Manages all Production Workers
Able to hold residents accountable to policy manuals and program requirements
Maintain sales pricing supplies and equipment
Re-orders needed supplies through Store Manager
Schedules daily work needs determined by merchandise back-up
Sets all Prices with assistance from Store Manger
Prices Furniture and other “big-ticket” items
Ensure the proper Color Code is used by production workers for pricing
Informs Manager of Merchandise, priced & cleaned, ready for display
Schedule, direct and evaluate paid, volunteer, and client staff in these tasks
Knows, understands, and able to hold all production staff to the five (5) P’s in the correct order: Pick-up, Produce, Price, Put-out, Purge
Able to meet weekly production goals following the 5-P’s to ensure on target for goals at month-end
Ensure that Production Count Sheets are being used daily
Ensure housekeeping, merchandising, and organizational standards are maintained
Ensure that all power is shut off according to guidelines at the end of the day
Ensure excellent customer service standards are established and maintained
