Jenkins Law Firm, APC is Hiring a Family Law Paralegal Near Carlsbad, CA

We are a small family law firm located in Carlsbad Village with a move to Rancho Santa Fe in Summer 2024 and a satellite office in La Jolla, CA. https://www.jenkinslawfirmapc.com/

Salary is commensurate with experience. We are willing to train, but the ideal candidate is someone with hands-on paralegal experience, preferably in family law. Certification is also preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Calendar court and due dates.
  • Assist accounting team with billing clients and collections.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal teams.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person.
  • Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and memos.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
  • Manage document management systems and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Review and organize contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Assist with data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Must be knowledgeable about court dates and calendaring.
  • Must be able to request payment from and speak with clients about billing.
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Proficient in using PracticePanther, a legal office web-based software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
