SUMMARY
Provides administrative support in the Distribution office by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers and responds to incoming telephone calls, greets truck drivers and other visitors and assists as necessary.
Photocopies, files and mails (outside and interoffice) documents as required.
Expedites, monitors and processes inbound and outbound shipments. Schedules carrier appointments and routes orders for pick-up in customer portals. Schedules carriers for pick-up requests.
Monitors TMS functions to move freight in adequate time with the correct carrier.
Performs various functions using M3 and TMS system including queries and reports.
Runs shipment uploads and releases updated information several times throughout the day.
Prints labels with appropriate EDI and other required information.
Performs audits and support Distribution quality control functions as needed.
Provides additional clerical support to Distribution staff as needed.
Provides coverage for other Distribution office staff as needed.
Assist the Distribution Coordinator in monitoring reports for JB Direct to ensure accurate levels of product are available. Sort orders and communicates with E-Commerce team members.
Inherent in each position is a general duty to maintain each respective work area in a safe and sanitary condition. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. The employee must also possess the ability to take direction, follow instructions, work with others, follow work rules and schedules, and focus on duties.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None, Reports to Distribution Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic proficiency with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
Familiarity with ERP, TMS and MS Office systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
