Jefferson County Public Health is a valued and trusted resource, always working for a safer and healthier community. Join our Public Health nursing team! This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the public health setting performing a full range of skilled nursing functions as well as administrative duties in support of special program areas meeting grant deliverables. This individual will work within our team of home visiting nurses and will be required to attend Nurse-Family Partnership training.

Education and/or Experience:
PHN I: Public Health Nursing Certification from an NLN accredited program and/or a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university.
PHN II: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by the National League of Nursing; and a minimum of two (2) years Public Health nursing experience in a Public Health agency. An appropriate advanced nursing degree or extensive clinical nursing practice in a variety of settings may be substituted for the two (2) years of Public Health Nursing experience.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License.
Hours & Compensation:
PHN I Grade 33, starting pay typically $29.12. Full hourly range $29.12-$36.37/hr, DOE.
PHN II Grade 35, starting pay typically $31.36. Full hourly range $31.36-$39.17/hr, DOE.
UFCW, 30 hrs/wk with benefits. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus 12 days of vacation, 11 paid holidays, sick leave, and bereavement leave.
