Location: Port Townsend, WA
The Jefferson County Department of Community Development is seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as our Permit Center Coordinator. The ideal candidate for this role is a professional with experience using complex operating systems, leading teams, and has worked with the public in an office environment.
Permit Center Coordinator: Performs a variety of complex, senior-level functions associated with permit system operation, customer service support, and office administration. See attached for full details.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and three (3) years’ experience in progressively responsible clerical positions, including two (2) years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant and two (2) years’ experience as a Permit Technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hours and Compensation: Full time, 40 hours per week, UFCW grade 29 position; starting pay is typically $26.17/hour. Full salary range is $26.17-$32.68. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. 11 paid holidays, 12 vacation days to start, sick leave and bereavement leave. Starting January 1, 2024, UFCW will be adopting Personal Time Off (PTO) in lieu of vacation and sick leave. Typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with a one (1) hour lunch.
