Job Title: Instructor Assistant

Job Description: Jefferson County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ School of Bright Promise is looking for highly motivated Instructor Assistants to aide Intervention Specialists’ in educating students with challenging behaviors.

About Bright Promise: Bright Promise is a local leader in servicing students with complex needs. The program services several students with Autism. The program works to deliver individualized instruction to address the functional and academic needs of children so that they can learn the skills to be able to move to a less restrictive environment.

A Day in the Life as an Instructor Assistant: As the person assisting the Intervention Specialist in the classroom, our Instructor Assistants work closely with the instructor and other aides to deliver academic and behavioral instruction as well as working on functional skills.

Qualifications to be an Instructor Assistant:

· High School Diploma required

· Early Childhood Development education or Paraprofessional licensure preferred but not required

· Detail oriented

· Good communications skills
