Jean Simpson Personnel Services is Hiring a Church Administrator Near Shreveport, LA

We are seeking an experienced Church Administrator for a well-known church in Shreveport, LA.

Salary: $70k DOE

Benefits: Offers a full suite of benefits

The Church Administrator is responsible for managing the church's business affairs and working with church members and staff to achieve the church’s mission objectives.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Financial Management-

  • Oversees all financial matters and records for the church including oversight of outside accounting services.
  • Provides oversight of the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Prepares annual budgets and implements it upon approval.
  • Administers payroll for church employees.
  • Assures all tax reports are promptly paid and timely filed.

Office Management-

  • Gives general direction to the weekday operations of the church office and supervises the administrative support staff.
  • Oversees procurement and maintains vendor relationships.
  • Administers the church budget and capital improvement funds.

Personnel Management-

  • Works with the Administration Ministry to develop personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintains personnel records.
  • Hires and supervises support staff.
  • Assures the church's compliance with federal and state labor laws.

Facilities Management-

  • Develop and administer policies and procedures concerning the use of all church properties and facilities.
  • Oversees all custodial contractors and outside contractors.
  • Maintains an inventory of church property and equipment.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field OR equivalent experience preferred.
  • Accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer systems - including word processing, electronic communication software, membership software, and financial reporting and accounting software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
