J Safety Ranger is a unique opportunity for children ages 3 – 6 years to learn about safety in a dynamic, nurturing environment while having fun outdoors. J Safety Ranger engages children in experiences that help them grow and learn about the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise children and actively participate in planned daily activities, which may include, but are not limited to art activities, circle games, songs, etc.
• Ensure safety and security of children enrolled.
• Communicate with parents and JCC staff.

Essential Job Duties:

• Supervise children by sight and sound.
• Stand for long periods of time and be able to run and actively engage physically with the children.
• React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials, equipment or bins up to 40 lbs.
• Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.
• Use hands for grasping equipment and play materials.
• Adhere to increased safety guidelines; proactively anticipate potential risk factors in keeping children & staff safe and notify supervisor of concern for need of appropriate adjustments.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (mask, gloves, etc.)

May 28 -May 31 and June 3-7

Hours:
9:00am -1:30pm

Compensation:
Hourly $16-$18

Requirements:Minimum High School Junior; preferred experience working with preschool aged children; dependability, flexibility and adaptability are a must. Demonstrated success leading with energy and enthusiasm!
