JBT Corporation’s Automated Systems business is a leading global supplier of automated, self-guided vehicle systems (AGVs) to the automotive, food & beverage, hospital and consumer product manufacturing industries. With offices in the United States and Europe, we are one of the world’s leading producers of automated vehicle systems. 

The R&D Program Manager is responsible for managing all the internal product development and R&D projects for both HW and SW. this role will interface with the development team as well as corporate JBT R&D and, as needed, also with external Customers.

The goal is to assure proper focus on the internal product development and R&D projects in order to meet the agreed deliverables within the assigned budget and timing.

The Opportunity ...

Project Execution

• Project Ownership – inception to acceptance
• Project Charter – deliverables, budget and milestones
• Project Schedules – develop and maintain
• Team approach – work with internal technical resources
• Design and Technical reviews – conduct with internal and customer teams
• Production/Purchasing – coordination with managers for schedule commitments
• Risk management

Financial Responsibilities

• Budget – maintaining and tracking budget for assigned projects
• Forecasting – % complete and cost to complete of assigned projects
• Scope creep – avoid scope creep and keep team focus on original deliverables
• Reporting – monthly reporting to management

Experience/Certification

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management required
• BS degree required.
• Engineering or technical discipline preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25% required
• Ideal candidate has project management experience working for an OEM or in software development
• Develop, maintain, and report financial budgets and forecasts
• Scrum or PMP certification preferred
• Syteline 9 experience preferred
