How You Will Make an ImpactThe Planner is responsible for production scheduling, and planning functions. This role has regular interface with sales, operations, purchasing and engineering Position is located currently in Tarpon Springs FL and will be relocating to Spring Hill FL August 2024The Nuts and BoltsPlan, schedule and generate manufacturing orders and work schedules for the shop floor to achieve high on-time delivery, level loading of available labor, and to minimize WIP and finished goods inventoryWorks closely with Production, Sales, Engineering and Purchasing to meet operational goalsSchedule to minimize Chassis Pool Floor plan and increase allocationCoordinates with purchasing to maintain updated equipment dates and adjust production schedule as neededCollaborate with chassis pool and sales to maintain updated chassis data Provides input to management and/or interface with customers when rescheduling is required due to design changes, chassis delays, labor and material shortages, and other potential schedule interruptionsUtilize ERP software and scheduling programs that support production planning, capacity planning, and operational managementMaintain production planning systems and procedures with high data accuracy and integrity Required CredentialsThree (3) to five (5) years of production planning experienceManufacturing industry background experience preferredExperience with ERP/MRP systems and functions requiredProficient in Microsoft Office Programs, especially ExcelThe ability to collaborate with a multi-department team How We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
