How You Will Make an Impact The experienced EHS Engineer at Reading Truck will identify and address needs for site Environmental permits and compliance programs related to the Environmental management system. This oversite will apply to various locations within North America. This position will function out of the Reading corporate office location with travel estimated to be 25%. The Nuts and BoltsCoordinate and oversee the implementation of various environmental programs NPDES permits, RCRA waste management, Hazardous Materials handling, Air permits, and state/local Environmental requirements, TRI and Sara 312/313 Analyze existing facilities, practices and procedures for compliance. Where necessary, propose improvements and implement the Reading Truck EHS policies and proceduresMonitor and maintain compliance for existing environmental permits including monthly, weekly or quarterly reportsMaintain and identify opportunities for waste reductionMaintain internal Environmental Management System (EMIS) which tracks all compliance activities across North American locationsAssist and manage contractors for permit renewals, modifications and notifications as necessaryLead or participate as a team member for projects related to processes related to Environmental compliance.Serve as liaison as needed with regulatory agenciesGenerate and update policies or procedures as necessary to stay current with latest environmental regulationsAssist with planning and delivering Environmental training as neededAssist with sampling and monitoring results from compliance related sampling eventsAssist with corporate EHS audits and preparing for regulatory inspections. Required CredentialsMinimum 4 Year Engineering Degree.
