How You Will Make an Impact The Quality Director is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems and processes throughout the organization. This position ensures that the company meets quality standards set by standards, regulatory and customer requirements. The Nuts and Bolts Responsible for the organization’s Quality function. Establish and communicate accountabilities, goals, metrics, and objectivesResponsible for developing, managing, and administering the organization's quality management systems, policies, procedures, standards, metrics, and programs. Ensure that quality control inspections, tests and corrective procedures are coordinated throughout Provide leadership and direction through managers and staff in support of functional responsibilitiesDevelop strategy and execute functional business plansUtilize statistical analysis to identify process improvement opportunities; Analyze and report on quality metrics, trends, and performanceResponsible for all quality control functions, including devising or approving quality specifications to ensure manufacture and legal complianceWork closely with engineering as well as procurement from – Design Review, supplier quality to validation and all documentationDirect quality management for the organization’s 2 manufacturing sites – Reading, PA and Claremore, OK Required CredentialsBachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Engineering 8 years in manufacturing / production environment with at least 5 years in Quality Leadership roleExperience with implementing and maintaining a Total Quality System – in a manufacturing environmentSix Sigma Certification – requiredCQE preferred How We Make an ImpactAt Reading Truck, we have more than 65 years of industry leadership in the manufacture, distribution, and enhancement of work truck bodies.
