Automotive Sander Responsibilities:Align/trim composite & metal body panels to desired gaps and flush.Adjust and repair vehicle chassis as necessary to fit panels.Bond composite panels to vehicle chassis.Dry sand vehicle.Communicate status of vehicle progress clearly to supervisors.Operation of company vehicles and industrial machinery in support of providing completed company products.Assist in special projects as required and assist other body technicians and co-workers as requested. Automotive Sander Requirements:Previous automotive body and general mechanical experience.Efficient and able to multitaskStrong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with other staffAbility to work with composites (carbon fiber) a plus.High attention to detail.High school diploma or equivalent. Automotive Sander Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position, such as standing for an extended amount of timeMust be able to move about the production floor, ascending/descending ladders, or other equipmentConstantly moving, stopping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, and/or crawlingMust be able to observe and inspect materials and equipmentFrequently moves materials and equipment weighing up to 50lbsOccasionally works in cold or hot temperaturesAbout Federal EagleFederal Eagle is the largest manufacturer of professional funeral vehicles in the world.
