Job Title: Hardware Specialist Level II

Location(s): Annapolis Junction, MD Hours: Regular Full-Time

Clearance Requirements:

This position requires a current and active TS/ SCI with FS Poly at the time of application.

What you will be doing:

Provides labor for the physical and logistical efforts in non-technical tasks required for hardware and other electronic equipment. Provides services in the physical dismantling and demilitarization of hardware. Follows all proper processes of equipment classification sanitization. Stages, organizes, performs labor on, and moves hardware in Continental United States (CONUS). Prepares reports and analysis for documentation and derived operational requirements. Conducts equipment surveys and inventories. Organizes and directs hardware procedures. Ensures that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy all requirements. Prepares reports and recommendations concerning management of hardware and processes.

• Protects and accounts for controlled access materiel and limits access to such material to authorized individuals.
• Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware disposal.
• Perform physical labor for dismantling, sorting of components, and disposal of retired equipment. Maintain materiel accounting and process related records to assure 100% accountability for items processed.
• Provide logistical services in processing of equipment and tracking equipment statuses and history in Agency databases.
• Reviews computer systems in terms of machine capabilities and man-machine interface.
• Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, installation, and support of distributed processing client/server systems.
• Prepares reports and studies concerning hardware.
• Prepares functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions.
• Ensures that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience:

• Minimum education and experience level: Bachelor's Degree or higher and 5 years’ experience.
• Equivalent education and experience:
  • High school/GED and 9 years’ experience
  • Associate's degree and 7 years' experience
  • Master's degree and 3 years' experience
  • Doctorate degree and 1 year experience
