Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
- Lead the development and execution of short-term and long-term operational plans.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, and develop talent within the operations department to build a high-performing team.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations, and regularly assess and provide feedback to team members.
- Oversee all aspects of production and execution.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability.
- Ensure processes are in place to maintain robust quality control systems to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and address any issues related to product quality, safety, and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational performance.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support operational goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Promote sustainability initiatives to minimize the company's environmental impact.
- Able to identify and manage capital: new equipment and infrastructure projects.
- Working understanding of site utilities. Able to converse and challenge vendors throughout the project process.
- Bachelors Degree
- 10 years of manufacturing operations management
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and performance metrics.
- Continuous improvement experience
