JAMHI Health and Wellness is Hiring a Residential Clinician Near Juneau, AK

Description: Provides Clinical services & clinical oversight of Case Management and other services for severely mentally ill and dually diagnosed clients within JAMHI’s Community Housing & Support Services (CHSS) program. Provides mental health emergency services for CHSS clients with acute emotional or psychiatric crisis.

Position Duties:

Conduct a review and provide oversight of Treatment Planning and Treatment Plan Reviews for CHSS clients to ensure clinical integrity of services.
Provide Clinical Assessments and updates; individual and/or group therapy in accordance to individualized treatment plans.
Respond to crisis situations which develop within the JAMHI CHSS services to ensure the safety and mental stability of clients, according to standard policies and procedures. This includes a review of incident reports, incident history notes to file, and follow-up/debriefing with staff as needed.
Work closely with the CHSS Director to maintain needed documentation for billing is current and up to date (i.e. Service Authorizations).
Act as behavioral health professional on treatment teams for assigned cases.
Provide expert testimony as necessary in court for legal proceedings.
Provide interagency and community consultation and education as needed.
Attend all treatment team meetings and other required meetings and trainings.
Participates on agency/department committees/teams and projects.
Participates in professional and/or community organizations.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver’s license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier and/or if driving.

Staff Clinician

A minimum of a master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
Must be working towards professional licensure and successfully obtain licensure within five years of taking employment.
