OCCURRENCE PREVENTION SPECIALIST

We currently have an opening for an Occurrence Prevention Specialist supporting our North Carolina offices. This position can be located in our Charlotte, Greensboro, or Raleigh office. PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

The Occurrence Prevention Specialist partners with clients to change the way they view, measure, and treat risks with an emphasis on preventing risk occurrences and mitigating loss costs. They will guide clients in making cultural changes that support a new method of job performance that values working in a manner to improve workplace safety.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Four-year degree strongly preferred
• Minimum of 7 years related experience required
• Special certifications/training are strongly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create a strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work in an office environment
• Ability to travel by automobile, train, or plane to other Scott offices and/or client visits
• Must be able to work on PC for extended period of times
• Must be comfortable with public speaking

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Exercise judgement and discretion in recommending and implementing decisions based on expertise
• Provide expert opinions to clients to ensure successful resolution of issues
• Leads the decision-making process on problem resolution
• Introduces creative solutions to areas of risk
• Educates clients on risk management
• Other duties as assigned
