The Department of Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center provides innovative and comprehensive care to treat patients with a wide range of rare and complex conditions.

Unlike other specialties that are limited to a particular organ or disease, family medicine physicians receive special training in caring for newborns, children, adults and seniors. They offer quality care for an individual or for the whole family, serving all ages and addressing all types of healthcare concerns.

We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner's with prior Family Medicine experience.

DUTIES:

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Family Medicine Department responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrates the ability to work and communicate effectively with Medical Team and others
• Practices within the scope of a Nurse Practitioner under the Family Medicine Department
• Complete consults and provide recommendations in conjunction with the Attending.
• Day to Day rounding and formulating treatment plans for patients
• Evaluates patients in the Family Medicine Clinic with the attending.
• Documents notes in the chart at the direction of the attending.

REQUIREMENT

• Master's Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• NY State License issued by the New York State Department of Education required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification, required
