Position Overview

This position is responsible for dispatching, managing, and directing the fleet operations in the local area. The role is domiciled at our Fox Valley branch office with primary responsibilities including efficient and on-time dispatching, routing delivery of product(s), problem-solving customer and delivery issues, managing company drivers and maintaining customer service levels.

Schedule: Monday through Friday; 2 PM to 12 AM

Essential Job Duties

  • Ensures, promote and create safety awareness, incident prevention while creating and maintaining a safety culture environment
  • Maintains fleet and other assets to specified standards within budgeted parameters through effective coordination with the Maintenance Department
  • Ensures the efficient loading, dispatching and routing of fleet in alignment with company business needs
  • Audits customer sites to maintain proper barcodes, unit list and site maps
  • Plans and prepares am routes for dispatch
  • Manages PM routes to ensure routes efficiency
  • Assists with the ERY/ARY meet weekly to discuss improvement plans
  • Assists with Managing Maintenance Protocols “ Truck service”
  • Prepares shift handover reports
  • Prepares incidents reports as needed
  • Manages routes daily and make adjustments as needed
  • Making delivery’s to complete stops due to employee or mechanical issue out in the field

Minimum Qualifications

  • Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tankers Endorsements
  • At least 1 year experience in transportation management/dispatch along with a thorough, demonstrated understanding of fleet operations
  • Knowledge of transportation operations and laws, federal safety regulations and maintenance requirements preferred
  • Strong customer orientation in interacting with and resolving customer related issues in a timely, professional, and positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage
