Perform a variety of tasks supporting the Building Services Department. Will work primarily in cleaning the jobsite and moving and installing materials as assigned by the supervisor. Level 1 technicians will train with higher-level technicians and carpenters in order to learn the required techniques for promotion.
Your Day to Day
- Climb a ladder and/or scaffolding safely to perform job functions.
- Perform general clean-up, i.e. sweeping, picking up materials and trash, stacking materials, and moving objects.
- Operate a wheelbarrow, Georgia Buggy, or rolling dumpster to transport garbage, materials, and/or tools.
- Dust cabinetry, furniture, fixtures, appliances, and other building features.
- Ability to direct traffic
- Wash floors, counters, fixtures, appliances, and other building features.
- Handle and carry a sheet of plywood, gypsum board or other large and cumbersome objects or materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Accurately drive stakes using a hammer for concrete forming or other purposes.
- Handle and carry one or more pieces of lumber weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Handle and install all types of insulation.
- Operate power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, sanders, or pressure washers in order to perform daily tasks.
- Support carpenters and technicians with daily activities.
- Operate elevators in active construction sites to help facilitate the movement of people and materials.
- Shoveling, i.e. dirt, trash, snow removal, etc.
- Loading and unloading of materials
- Mowing and light landscaping
All other duties, as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 months of experience as a laborer preferred, but not required.
