As a vital member within our Mountain West Central Bridge Team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, throughout the Southwest, and nationwide. Our transportation projects include traditional design-bid-build projects as well as alternative delivery such as Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects. Working with our talented Bridge Team, you’ll work to solve problems and challenges in a team environment where everyone is valued. As Senior Bridge Project Manager, you will lead bridge projects of various sizes and complexity, lead teams of bridge engineers and CADD staff, support/mentor junior engineers and developing project managers, support strategic growth initiatives, develop our local and regional transportation practices, and pursue new projects. As a self-motivated professional, your role, experience, expertise, and leadership will differentiate Jacobs locally, regionally, and nationally. In this role, you will:

·Oversee multidisciplinary teams

·Oversee, manage, and/or lead preliminary, intermediate, and final bridge design projects

·Develop bridge designs, calculations, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages

·Oversee, manage, and lead task orders under on-call contracts

·Provide and manage engineering services during construction including construction observation reports

·Assist in development of Design-Build proposal documents

·Identify creative and innovative bridge engineering and project solutions based on client, project, and site constraints

·Provide technical guidance, oversight, and perform quality reviews

·Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers

·Coordinate project milestones and workload with Project Managers, Design Leads, and Senior Bridge Engineers

·Pursue bridge projects of various types including alternative delivery projects in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, throughout the Southwest, and nationally

·Support business development and proposal efforts

·Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships

The base salary range for this position is $161,100 – $251,600. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, level of responsibility, and relevant education or training.

Here’s what you’ll need:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

·PE registration in Colorado. A PE registration in WY also preferred.

·At least 15 years’ civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction

·Experience on large, multidisciplinary bridge design projects

·Experience with multiple structure types including precast concrete girder bridges, steel bridges, bridge widenings, and bridge rehabilitations

·Project management and leadership experience

·Strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

·Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of technical standards for bridge design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance including AASHTO LRFD and state-specific guidelines

·Familiarity with FHWA requirements and guidelines

·Ability and willingness to travel on occasion

 

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

·Existing relationships with CDOT, DOTI, and/or other relevant agencies

·Multi-faceted experience including public sector project experience

·At least 20 years’ civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction as well as leadership of design teams

·Alternative delivery project experience in design and/or oversight, including Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects
