Job Summary

The Department of Occupational Therapy within the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences invites applications for one 12-month faculty position at a Tenure-Track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. This position will support the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Jacksonville University.

Duties/Responsibilities

* The ability to maintain an active research/scholarship agenda and teaching proficiency within their area of expertise supporting the OTD program.

Required Skills/Abilities

* Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

* Preference will be given to candidates with clinical expertise in the areas of Neurorehabilitation, Functional Cognition, Assistive Technology or Low Vision

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience

* Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Florida

* Have an earned Doctorate (OTD, PhD, EdD or equivalent; ABD will be considered) with three years clinical experience preferred

* Participation is expected in departmental and other institutional service activities supporting the academic mission of the University

* Salary and rank will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate

Physical Requirements

Examples:

* Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

* Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.

* Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines.

* Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
