POSITION SUMMARY :

Perform journeyman level work tasks in one or more crafts for the purpose of installing and maintaining production equipment / systems and facilities support equipment / systems.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance assuring a high degree of equipment reliability for production and administrative areas.

Work must comply with pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging, and cGMP requirements and provide maximum equipment operating efficiency.

Maintain building automation systems such as Metasys Control Systems.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for production and facilities equipment / systems.
• Develop, fabricate, and install replacement components and controls for production and facilities equipment and systems.
• Ability to interact daily with Maintenance Manager to provide the scope of parts and material needs for work orders.
• Provide proper documentation on work orders and appropriately communication to Maintenance Manager to update status of operating equipment.
• Maintain appropriate logs, training, and reading requirements.
• Use a variety of testing equipment to maintain proper equipment operation and environmental conditions as required.
• Coordinate and work with on-site contractors as required.
• Participate in providing 24-hour assistance in emergency call back situations during non-scheduled hours and / or be available for shift coverage.
• Adhere to all facility and site safety and compliance rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees on the site.
• Willingly perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Perform on-call and call-in duties as required and directed.
• Procure necessary equipment or supplies as authorized by supervision.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks and scissors lifts
• Mentor and share personal technical knowledge with other departmental associates to enhance their competencies to best serve the needs of the organization.
• Ensure all internal customers are managed with respect and courtesy to avoid conflict.
• Timely execution and completion of assigned work orders

1)Accountability ()

• Ability to work in a team environment to support production and facility equipment with minimal disruptions to operations.
• Assist Engineering / Maintenance Department in meeting goals established.
• Responsible to maintain equipment in proper working order to maximize production and operating capabilities.
• Comply with all site safety procedures and wear assigned personal protective equipment.
• Complete all necessary cGMP and Safety documentation on time and accurately.

COMPLEXITY

• Must be able to analyze equipment and determine source of problem and to determine material requirements for installation or repairs.
• Technical trade expertise for facility maintenance
• Must be able to determine steps to take to correct an equipment-related mechanical problem.
• Must be able to perform installation, diagnostic trouble-shooting, and repair of production and facilities equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma, plus 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance position
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of production and facilities equipment and systems.
• Vocational / technical training
• SAP experience
• Trade certifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

• Ability to perform majority of tasks in one or more of the following crafts and a variety of skills in one additional craft : Machining, welding, plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC / refrigeration, fabrication
• Ability to use craft appropriate machine tools, equipment, portable tools, test equipment, and instrumentation in a safe manner
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards required
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and schematics
