Position Summary :

The Buyerrole is part of the procurement team, responsible forsupporting Jackson Family Wines across major spend categories within Direct Materials.

These categories include, but not limited to : glass, cork, labels, capsules, screwcaps and corrugated shippers.This person willnegotiate pricing with suppliers, ensure material availability and manage supplier performance issues.

The person in this role is expected to have a high degree of skill in analyzing spend categoriesto identify cost savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

The buyer will work closely with Marketing, Creative Services and Production teams on Innovation and New Product Development projects.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) :

• Support the development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies across a variety of direct material categories
• Contribute to the cost savings objectives of the department
• Create and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and delivery with suppliers on an ongoingbasis
• Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders in JD Edwards (ERP)
• Manage supplier performance; customer service, responsiveness, quality and on-time delivery
• Responsible for driving increased value from supplier relationships within category
• Represent Procurement on cross-functional project teams

Background / Experience :

• Minimum 2-5 years Procurement / Supply Chain Management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree, or relevant experience in a similar role
• Proven track record of consistent performance and delivery
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint,
• Team player who actively contributes to the department to complete tasks, meet goals and manage projects
• Creative problem solverwho generates new ideas, drives solutions and improves processes
• Change seeker who can identify, reframe and executeon continuous improvementopportunities
• Confident and accountabledecision maker
• Strong ability to prioritize and focus on delivering business goals

Wage Transparency : The base salary for this role ranges from $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location. Benefits :
