Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
- Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with invoices or work orders.
- Delivers and picks up merchandise in a timely manner.
- Maintains deliveries and ensures pick-ups have proper paperwork.
- Ensures customer messages and communications are relayed to management or appropriate account manager .
- Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
- Assists in maintaining a neat and clean working environment.
- Reports understock occurrences to management immediately.
- Provides customer with appropriate paperwork for pick-up and delivery.
- Effectively uses a trailer and lift gate.
- Provides high level of customer service.
This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments – exposure to heat and cold is to be expected.
Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.
Qualifications
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Class A driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a background check including employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, etc.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam/medical certification and drug test
- Must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements
- CDL with Combination endorsement. Driving a 1 ton long bed with trailer.
- Meet minimum MVR guidelines
- Must be at least 21 years old and licensed to drive out of state
- Ability to learn to use E-log for driving time
- Must be able to load, unload and roll or stack truck tires by hand or lift gate
- Must be detail minded with all paperwork (invoices, E-log, and etc.)
- Knowledge of tire sizes helpful but not required
- Must be customer oriented
- Good appearance and attitude required
- Must work and drive in a safe manner
- Must be able to pass a DOT drug test at any time
