JACK Main is Hiring a Promotions & Events Coordinator Near Cleveland, OH

Promotions Coordinator:

Reporting directly to the Marketing Operations Manager the Promotions Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Promotions Supervisor in everyday operations of the ClubJACK/Promotions Department. This will be a full time position, in which the Coordinator will be required to a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, in the event of a party, trade show, promotions, or drawings on or off property.

Essential Functions:

  • Interfaces with agencies, personnel, and participants in the execution of special events.
  • Assists in the production and dissemination of promotional information and signage needed for special events.
  • Works with Corporate partners to plan media coverage of special promotions through television, radio, newspaper and trade publications.
  • Secures and maintains all permits, decorations, equipment, and personnel necessary.
  • Contributes to the creation of new special events presentations and special promotions prior to approval.
  • Assists in executing budgets for individual special events productions, recording expenditures and charting budget variances.
  • Provides necessary information to enable appropriate departments to evaluate the success of special events and promotions on the basis of media coverage generated, casino drop or other qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to the Horseshoe brand and encourages others to do the same.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Licensed and authorized to obtain money from the cage and to distribute promotional prize money on the gaming floor.
  • Assist ClubJACK/Promotions Supervisor in the creation and /or implementation of all promotions and events both on property and off.
  • Write Official Rules and submit to management for each event and be aware of submission to the state of Ohio.
  • Create APS programs for each event and test prior to each event.
  • Submit IT, Graphics and BEO requests
  • Be thoroughly knowledgeable of all rules and procedures to all promotions and events taking place both on property and off.
  • Contributes to program development to help the department achieve its goals.
  • Notify Total Rewards/Promotions Supervisor of any rules and procedures violations to be corrected.
  • Responsible for project management and meeting timelines. Must exhibit attention to detail and follow through.
  • Maintains records and inventory, charts, and graphs of promotions on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain organization of all promotions folders located in the shared drive.
  • Conduct promotional drawings and contact winner(s), Follow up with all paperwork involved.
  • Assist in the creation of necessary coupons in house and keep ClubJACK, Gift Shop, F & B, accounting or any other affected departments informed on all coupons in circulation.
  • Check on a daily basis, all in house signage, all in house brochure racks for outdated or damaged signs, and replace info as needed. Complete work orders/signage request for changes or replacement needed. Inform other departments if their signs are damaged or needs to be replaced.
  • Track all merchandise going to or coming from company warehouse to insure proper inventory information.
  • Inventory promotional merchandise on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis as requested or required, updating ClubJACK/Promotions Supervisor and Marketing Director. Maintain records, charts, and graphs of promotions on a monthly basis.
  • Assists in execution and attend all parties/events being held by ClubJACK/Promotions and/or Player Development.
  • Assist in the arrival and set up of live entertainment.
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of people and utilizing a microphone to emcee events and promotions.
  • Any other duties as assigned by ClubJACK/Promotions Supervisor or Marketing Director.
  • Overseeing the creation of promotional pieces, coupons, certificates for assigned promotional events, and communicating this information to all departments involved, as well as Accounting.
  • Creates and distributes inter- and intra-departmental communication of all promotions and events.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Education and Experience:

  • College Degree in Marketing, Communications,
  • Business Administration, or equivalent experience in gaming, hospitality, or travel industry.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required Certification/License

  •  Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
