JAC Products has an opportunity for a Material Planner to join our team in Napoleon, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the production schedule, material ordering, vendor management and inventory control for your assigned business unit. You will play a critical role to ensure that our production team is able to meet our customer requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Creates and maintains weekly production schedule by line and schedule attainment.
• Completes weekly cycle counts for assigned business units.
• Maintains an accurate 6-12 week forecast to suppliers and updates supplier releases.
• Monitors and order components as required by the production team to meet the production schedule.
• Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods at optimum levels to ensure adequate availability AND cost-containment.
• Assess and enhance all elements of the inventory management system for assigned products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• BS in materials/inventory/procurement management or the equivalent/relevant experience preferred
• APICS certification preferred
• 1 or more years of experience in a complex Tier 1 or 2 Automotive OEM parts production facility
• Advanced understanding of MRP Systems, Inventory control and the production planning process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Management/Leadership skills.
