Duties & Responsibilities
- New product implementation to production lines
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to machining
- Provide technical feedback in support of production
- Disposition discrepant material created during production processes
- Inspect product and interpret customer requirements
- Define manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, fixturing, and methods
- Develop, review and improve documentation
- Drive root cause corrective actions
- Interface with customers and suppliers on technical issues
- Create and prove CNC programs manually and with CAM software
- Create and maintain processes that comply to all safety policies
- Estimate machine processing times to support quoting and production
- Maintain ERP/MRP system and BOM
- Actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement
- Strong background in creating CNC machining processes
- Knowledge of various types of machine tools and their capabilities
- Knowledge of inspection tools and methods
- Knowledge of common aerospace plating processes such as chemical film and anodize
- Knowledge of special processing such as heat-treat, passivate, and penetrant inspection
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree 2 years related experience preferred. In lieu of degree, relevant experience and work history required.
- 3 years of engineering experience in machining environment
- Proficient using CAD/CAM software to create machining processes
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PPT
- Mazatrol knowledge is desired
