Job Description:
The Physical Security Customer and Facility Installation Specialist, will be responsible for supporting the Physical Security Installation Lead Engineer, planning, scheduling, and supervising installation projects and vendors from inception to completion, sourcing physical security technologies, assets and labor, as well as, implementing, programming and troubleshooting physical security systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Support efforts in the configuration of servers, workstations, panels and other programmable components.
  • Be the primary point of contact for physical security installations and installation issues.
  • Plan, schedule, supervise and control security system installations.
  • Confirm all equipment procurement for installations.
  • Prepare progress reports, expense reports and other related documents.
  • Evaluate system performance and effectiveness to maintain and minimize equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of current standards and new developments.
  • Keep associates and customers informed of any industry changes.
  • Manage worksites for new-construction, as well as remodeling projects, coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and objectives
  • Provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork to ensure that quality standards are being met
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, sales, and others working on a project
  • Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
  • Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
  • Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
  • Participate in configuration of servers, workstations, panels and other programmable components.
  • Manage projects and vendors through industry accepted standards.
  • Design, implement and manage new physical security systems.
  • Audit, troubleshoot and maintain existing physical security systems.
  • Effectively communicate with end users of the physical security systems.
  • Proactively and effectively manage ticketing system.
  • Work closely with compliance and audit teams to meet required expectations of the standards.
  • Critically evaluate physical security strategy and controls to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains.
  • Support cross-functional team initiatives by performing security assessments, identifying, and prioritizing opportunities to manage risk, communicating clear requirements, and partnering collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to understand, document, and communicate physical security requirements for all construction, retrofit, and implementation projects.
  • Create, mature, and improve internal processes and workflows to support physical security within a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
  • Create, maintain, and improve training documentation for physical security processes and procedures.
  • Identify and justify compensatory approaches to meeting physical security requirements.
  • Clearly communicate information to teams consisting of technical and non-technical audiences across a range of levels in the company to ensure messaging is clear, concise, and consistent.
  • Attend status and coordination meetings
  • Educate teammates and partners on risks, vulnerabilities, standards, and policies, driving and reinforcing a security awareness culture.
  • Provide an escalation path for operations teams as part of the On Call rotation with other team members.
  • Prepare status reports for current activities and projects.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical staff to design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in Incident Management during system outages.
  • Maintain and update SOW and preconstruction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors.
  • Provide On-call support
  • Travel as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists
  • Ability to respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions
  • 1-5 Years of supervising vendors and installation projects
  • 1-5 Year of experience managing POs
  • 1-5 Years of relevant technical experience with low voltage systems; access control, closed circuit television (IP video products), and intrusion alarms.
  • 1-5 Years of relevant experience managing projects and personnel in a multi-location / matrix environment.
  • 1-5 Years of experience in researching and procuring relevant technologies and labor resources.
  • Ability to read and understand engineered site plans, floor plans, blueprints, and system schematics.
  • Working knowledge of networking, switch configuration and firewall principals.
  • Knowledge of low voltage security systems, devices, relays, sensors, electronic locking hardware, and mechanical devices
  • Ability to interpret operating manuals and component drawings as well as developing procedures for the proper operation of the equipment.
  • Ability to use and instruct others in testing equipment such as multi-meters and circuit tracers in low voltage troubleshooting.
  • Ability to organize maintenance schedules, coordinate vendor activities, and develop problem resolutions.
  • Strong familiarity with both Change Management and Incident Management processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Think clearly and abstractly, in high pressure situations, to resolve critical issues with high risks for business interruption.
  • Relevant industry knowledge and ability to adapt to future technology changes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision. Candidate should also be able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Has excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with end users of the physical security systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASIS Certification
  • 1-5 Years of relevant experience programming, implementing and maintaining access control, closed circuit television (IP video products), and intrusion systems.
  • 1-5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrified and mechanical locking mechanisms for a variety of access points.
  • Genetec Certification or willingness to complete within 12 months
  • Knowledge of network design and devices (RS485 and Ethernet)
  • Experience with Windows Server and Video Management Systems software
  • Experience with Visio and CAD
  • Knowledge of relevant software and hardware applications related to Physical Security (i.e. Genetec and like systems)
  • Has familiarity with Service Now or other ticket management systems.
  • Certifications in IT related hardware/software: Networking infrastructure databases creation
  • and management software application management

Benefits are subject to change at the Company's discretion.
Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $86,000 - $96,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.
Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
