Job duties are but not limited to:
- This position requires traveling to a second site 2.5 - 3 days a week using company vehicle.
- Assist physicians in the Internventional Radiology OR procedures during diagnostic and therapeutic dialysis access sites.
- Practice sterile technique for all procedures
- Assist with admitting process for patients and scheduling follow up appointment
- Perform patient pre-operative assessments
- Assist with chart review, verification of surgical site, completion of physician orders, operative consent, patient allergies for each patient procedure that you will assist.
- Place IV on patients for procedures
- Anticipates patient care needs and consults with provider as needed
- Assist with preparing patient for procedures
- Assist with post procedure patient monitoring and discharge
- Document patient information, collect vitals, medical history in a clear and concise manner in EMR system.
- Maintain Quality Assurance and follow policy and procedures
- Accountable for direct patient care as the scrub tech in the procedure
- Be aware and familiar with all emergency MOCK protocols
- HIPAA and OSHA compliance, all safety standards including but not limited to, equipment maintenance, infection control, universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment as needed.
- Organizes, stocks and maintains an orderly, clean and uncluttered work area, including but not limited to exam rooms, procedure rooms
- Maintains current knowledge of medications, waste disposal and sterile techniques
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
- Maintain professional and courteous attitude at all times.
Preferred Language Seeking an individual with strong English and Spanish speaking skills.
Preferred Work Experience Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of LVN experience; preferably working in an ambulatory and/or outpatient clinic setting.
