J&P Hospitality Management, LLC is Hiring a Facilities Project Manager Near Macon, GA

Job Responsibilities:

The facilities project manager is responsible for keeping all hotel properties within their assigned market/area of responsibility operational. They work with business leaders to ensure all hotel facilities run safely, sustainably, and efficiently while increasing operational efficiencies and avoiding unnecessary costs.

The facilities project manager will identify, troubleshoot, produce scopes of work, competitively bid, qualify, value engineer, award and oversee large CapEx maintenance and renovation activities for their assigned hotels. Effective collaboration with hotel operations, general contractors, 3rd party consultants, vendors, and others to provide the support required to maintain the company’s assets / physical structures is essential.

Must be available 24/7/365 to address emergencies unless coverage has been coordinated in advance.

Specific Duties include:

  • Based on reports, collaborates with the chain of command to determine the greatest facility need, communicates directly with property management to proactively address facility needs, and conducts site visits as needed.
  • On-site visits may be required in the event of a facility emergency (e.g., fire, water line break, fire sprinkler system activation, HVAC or electrical outage, etc.)
  • On-site visits are used to analyze, evaluate, and prioritize needs, and create action plans which may include immediate hands-on repairs and/or the need for vendor support.
  • Provides management with up-to-date status on assigned projects using designated tracking reports (e.g., WorkOasis)
  • Select vendors and manage vendor activity/performance to ensure compliance with the objectives of the project.
  • Ensures project completion – on time, at cost.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills /Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electronic repair with the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.

Preference for those who have completed a formal training program in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction.

Physical Requirements:

  • 100 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift and carry up to 50 lbs; team lift may be required
  • Need to be on call for after-hours and weekend service calls; occasional overtime required.
  • Must be able to use ladders frequently as well as going up and down stairs, bending, squatting, lifting, pulling/pushing.
