Description

The Reservations Agent has overall responsibility for oversight of hotel reservations and revenue management functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Process and manage reservations received from Central Reservations Office, Internet and call-ins.
• Organize reservations activities, including Central Reservations Office room status activity.
• Perform reservation training for all Front Office, Sales and Catering staff.
• Assist in the development and implementation of guest room sales & marketing programs.
• Establish and regulate rate management and accommodations restrictions.
• Prepare forecast report to reflect budgeted occupancy levels and distribute to all departments.
• Enter group contracts and communicate group information to the Front Desk Department.
• Enter all rooming lists and billing information as instructed from the Sales & Catering Office.
• Process opening and closing of all group master accounts on a weekly basis.
• Create and distribute daily group and occupancy report.
• Ensure prompt and courteous service, communicating with guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Provide guests with information regarding amenities of the hotel, rooms, and food services.
• Display knowledge of the local area, to include but not limited to, restaurants, local attractions and activities.

Requirements

EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

Prior Customer Service related experience preferred.
