SUMMARY:

The Cash & Carry Clerk is the face of IWC for the Cash & Carry store. Their interaction with customers is essential to the success of the store.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist customers with questions of product.
• Operate cash register.
• Operate meat and cheese slicers, use scales and package deli products.
• Requires lifting of product in order to stock items.
• Break down cases of product.
• Assist customers properly with questions and issues.
• Operate cash register and bagging of groceries.
• Check for outdates/ damaged product.
• Process concession equipment rentals.
• Sunday quarterly inventory assistance may be required.
• Responsible for customer satisfaction with their purchases.
• Responsible for balance of cash register.
• Must be able to communicate, get along with and work well with customers and other employees.
• Must be able to read and comprehend all work instructions.
• Working your assigned schedule and coming to work on-time is required.
• Work is performed at the Cash & Carry facility.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

• Proper phone etiquette.
• Basic Math skills and accuracy are necessary.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Constant walking, standing. Frequent bending and stooping.
• Ability to follow proper safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals in deli, restrooms, floors, shelving and display cases.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing duties, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand for long hours, reach and manipulate objects.
• Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as cash register and deli slicer.
• Will climb short stepladders occasionally to place inventory on display shelves.
