We have an exciting PRN, Night shift RN opportunity in our Mother Baby unit at Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN! Our 14-bed unit provides couplet care for postpartum mothers and newborns. Fundal assessment, post-partum hemorrhage risk and management, breastfeeding assistance and education are just some of the skills learned to care for the mother, while newborn head to toe assessments, hearing screens, blood draws are examples of newborn care.

The RN is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of proficient, evidence-based care, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and improve operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
