Our high-tech products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: oil & gas, petrochemical, medical devices, waste water, life sciences, and analytical instruments. Job DescriptionBasic FunctionThe Validation Technician role is to manage, plan, develop, test, execute, and document the validation and commissioning of electro-mechanical systems and software solutions used in the fabrication of Brooks Instrument products.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform validations of production equipment and software supporting our manufacturing lines.Verify and troubleshoot equipment after system integration to ensure is ready for validation.Prepare detailed test plans and validation results in written technical reports.Collect, analyze, and interpret data in accordance with validation plans.Identify, track, and assist with the fix of bugs/issues found during validation.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAble to plan, develop, set up, and conduct tests using electro-mechanical hardware and instrumentation.Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems (DAQ), sensor interfacing (analog and digital), industrial networks and communications protocols, pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems, and process instrumentation.Strong skills configuring Windows-based operating systems for custom software applications and hardware.Excellent technical report writing skills required.Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes.Able to understand system requirements and deliverables.Highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability.Ability to get along with others in a team environment.Flexible to work hours at night and/or weekends, if required.Education and Experience2- year degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Sciences required.Minimum 4 years of experience conducting equipment validation.Additional InformationOur employees enjoy competitive, merit-based salary plus excellent benefits including:Health and dental insuranceCompany Paid Life Insurance / Short and Long Term Disability401K plan with generous company matchVacation, personal days and holidaysContinuing education reimbursement programFlexible spending accountsThe opportunity to join a well-established (77 years in business) yet dynamically changing organization that works together as a team to meet the challenges of satisfying customers’ needs and managing rapid growth to better compete in a global marketplace.Please visit our website: http://www.brooksinstrument.com/ITW Company OverviewITW was built on innovation and the strength of new ideas.
